Virtual Museum
Mammals:
Here you'll find links to
different categories of animals from the fossil record. As I get more
time, I'll add new categories and I'll also add new photos to the pages.
Completing these pages will take substantial time. For now it concentrates
on mammals and dinosaurs, but will (hopefully) include sharks, trilobites, and
other important animals.
Of course, it would be
impossible to get all categories of animals in here, so only a few categories
are represented. They are organized in a way that makes them easy to
recognize-some by order, some by superorder, others by family,
etc.
If you have a high quality photo of a high
quality fossil and you'd like to see it in one of these categories, just let me
know. I must have the full right to edit the photo to match my website's
format. You must know the formation and scientific name.
Active
links are in gray.
